The Medical Scribe is a vital member of the medical staff, who not only assists physicians with paperwork but also operates their EMR system.
They are required to keep track of time to not impede patient care.

(AMP), for ColumbiaDoctors, is a Management Service Organization (MSO) that provides administrative and clinical support staff for ColumbiaDoctors Medical Group and ColumbiaDoctors of the Hudson Valley.
ColumbiaDoctors is one of the largest multi-specialty practices in New York State, comprised of an experienced group of physicians specializing in Cardiology, Vascular Disease, Internal Medicine, Obesity, Podiatry, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology.
Our group is comprised of over 50 Columbia physicians treating patients throughout Westchester, Rockland, and Orange Counties.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Knowledge of medical terminology, basic anatomy & coding Preparing and assembling medical record documentation/charts for the physician Updating patient history, physical exam and other pertinent health information in the patient Organizing and sending all documentation to physician for review Taking notes during patient visits and documenting them in the electronic health records system Learning about the medical process and using a team approach in patient supervision and documentation Working with a supervising Physician or Doctor to complete and submit medical records Communicating with patients and supervising Physicians professionally Completing all administrative tasks efficiently and helping the Physician take tests and give out medication Maintain a high level of quality assurance and compliance securing patient information and confidentiality at all times.
Adhere to all AMPMSO Policies & Procedures including HIPAA Compliance & Safety Capture accurate and detailed documentation of the patient's encounter in a timely manner High attention to detail and accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment Assist Front End staff as needed Required
Qualifications:
Proven work experience as a Medical Scribe or similar role Ability to expertly document patient care and transcribe patient appointments Assure the accuracy of all documentation and records Advanced computer skills to transcribe and record information across our network Keep the privacy of all patient information that you learn throughout your duties Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively Excellent written and verbal communication skills Computer Savvy with 2
Years of EMR Experience; EPIC required High school diploma, GED or equivalent Preferred
Qualifications:
Certified / Registered Medical Assistant Preferred Background in Cardiology Multi -Task & Communicate Effectively Motivated & Enthusiastic Team Player The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered for this position at the time of this job ad and may be modified in the future.
